FAQs
Can I bring my own bedding?
Yes, please feel free to provide blankets or beds. We only ask that we are able to launder them if needed. Please do not bring duvets.
What if my dog falls ill when boarding?
If your dog falls ill during its stay will we transport them to your own vet. Should your dog ever need emergency treatment, we will take it to our registered vet on call, Senlac in Battle.
Which vaccines are required?
Your dog must have been vaccinated against Parvovirus, Distempter, Canine Infectious Hepatitis & Leptospirosis. We must see proof of vaccination.
Kennel cough is not a requirement, if you decide to vaccinate against this please ensure its done atleast 2 weeks prior to boarding with us.
My dog is on medication, can you administer this?
Yes, if your dogs on medication please write down the full instructions and timings. We don’t currently accept dogs that require insulin injections.
Can I view the kennels?
We encourage everyone to visit the kennel for peace of mind. Every establishment is different and you need to find the one that suits your dog best. Please email us to arrange a viewing, as we are usually out walking when our kennels are closed to the public.
Are your kennels heated?
Yes, every kennel has its own individual heater which is thermostatically controlled. Extra bedding will always be provided if your dog likes to snuggle down.
My dog is on a special diet, is this a problem?
Not at all! We encourage owners to provide their dogs food to avoid stomach issues. We have plenty of storage space and if your dog is on a raw fed diet we also have freezer storage too.
Terms & Conditions
Dogs will only be accepted on the condition they have been fully vaccinated against Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis & Parvo Virus. Proof will need to be provided. Without proof we will turn your dog away. Kennel cough vaccine is not required, if you do decide to vaccinate please ensure it is done 2 weeks prior to your booking.
We reserve the right to decline your dog should it be showing any signs of illness or distress.
No dog will be accepted without a UK emergency contact, this contact might be asked to collect the dog if required and they must be aware of this responsibility.
Dogs can only be dropped off and collected during our opening hours, failing this, owners will have to come the following day. Opening hours 8AM-10AM, 2:30 - 3PM or 4.45-5;15PM with the exception of us being closed Sunday evenings. During peak times dogs MUST be collected on the day they are due out.
Dogs not collected on the agreed date and time will incur a £20 surcharge.
It is emphasised whilst every care and attention to your dog is given, Woodland Farm will accept no responsibility for injury due to your dog/s behaviour whilst boarded.
It is also emphasised whilst every due care and attention is given to disinfect and keep the kennels a safe environment from illness’s such as kennel cough, stomach bugs etc, you board your dog at your own risk
Should your dog/s cause any damage to our property you may be liable for costs
Should we deem dogs sharing a kennel need to be separated; the additional kennel fee will be charged to the owner.
Refunds will not be given for early return.
Should your dog fall ill during its stay, we reserve the right to seek veterinary treatment. The owner is responsible for any cost incurred not covered by our insurance.
All borders are covered by our comprehensive insurance (including veterinary fees up to £2000).
All fees are to be paid before collection of the dog/s. Payment by card,cash or bacs.
In the event your dog is not collected, after 7 days we will attempt to contact you and the emergency contact. If no new collection date is agreed your dog will be considered abandoned and the dog warden will be contacted. We will take legal action to recover any costs incurred.
Your data will be held in accordance with GDPR guidelines and used solely for the boarding of your dog . It will not be shared with outside sources.
